Search Large Size File In Linux


If you are having hard time to Search Large Size File in Linux system which are taking all your disk spaces, then here is an easy way to figure out where to find those large files. Run following command to list the large files.


find / -mount -noleaf -type f -size +100000k -print0 | xargs -0 ls -lhSr | perl -ne '/(\S+\s+){4}(\S+)\s+(\S+\s+){3}(.*)/ and printf("%*s %s\n",7,$2.":",$4);'



/ – replace with path you want to search files on

100000k – replace with the least file size you want to find.
